For this prominent and historic house in Sydney’s beautiful Lavender Bay, our client asked us to provide a set of improvements, to improve it’s liveability and setting within the streetscape until such time as they were ready to complete a more substantial renovation. This induced us to think creatively about the project with a limited budget, to achieve the client budget, timeline and brief requirement. The result is, we believe, simple, beautiful and unique, and a rather remarkable transformation from the existing condition. This does highlight the ability of good architecture to improve property value and lifestyle, through creative thinking and without excessively large or onerous project budgets or complex and drawn out construction timelines.
