Lavender Bay’s Historic Governer’s Mansion
Our client asked us to provide a low budget set of improvements to this significant house, to improve it’s liveability and setting within the streetscape until such time as they were ready to complete a more substantial renovation. This induced us to think creatively about the project with a limited budget, to achieve the client brief. The result is, we believe, simple, beautiful and unique, and a rather remarkable transformation from the existing condition. We say this only to highlight the power of architecture to significantly improve property value and lifestyle, without excessively large or onerous project budgets.
