A unique, low cost and spatially efficient duplex design for a flat site with excellent water views, in a key location within the Lakes District. The design utilises very simple planning geometries an highly efficient internal planning, in combination with amodularised and elemental approach to the facade design, to provide a simple, buildable and uniquely recognisable design result. The design also takes advantage of lightweight flat roof systems to provide a hierarchy of external spaces, rising up from ground level to roof, to take advantage of the expansive and beautiful unrestricted water views to the north.
